Ford's Markko Martin will compete at the Neste Rally Finland next weekend, despite his crash in Argentina, which left the Estonian with blurred vision and suffering from dizzy spells.

According to reports by British newspaper, The Independent, Martin and his co-driver, Michael Park have been given the 'all-clear', however they will sit out the Pirelli Rally this weekend, which they had been due to take part in as a warm-up for the Finland event.

Martin, still recovering from his high-speed accident earlier this month, commented: "We won the Rally Finland last year, so if anything we're under less pressure this year. We'll just go and do the best job that we can for us and for the team.

"Unfortunately, we've not had the easiest run up to the event. Torrential rain was creating rivers through our test stage on Wednesday so we had to cancel it at lunchtime but we drove for 230kms Thursday.

"I've been suffering from some blurred vision since Argentina, but it's improving everyday.

"It may be a bit difficult on the first run through when you have to judge braking distances but I'm sure we'll be on the pace."
