JWRC: Molder eyes finish on second outing.

Jaan Molder has revealed that he has only one target for the Rally Argentina this weekend, the second event in his FIA Junior WRC programme, namely to make it to the finish.

The Estonian, who returns after making his debut in the category back in February in Sweden, finishing tenth overall after a series of technical problems, has been busy testing since then and concluded three-days of running in the Lake District a while back. He then entered the Malcolm Wilson Rally, with his Atoyle Kazaz run Ford Fiesta S1600 and although he encountered a few problems, he managed to finish the event and win the A6 class.

Speaking prior to the Rally Argentina, Molder admitted that while he doesn't expect it to be easy, it should be less taxing than in Sweden.

"I think this rally is better for us than Sweden because the stages are faster and have better grip," he confirmed. "We drove a gravel event with the car before Argentina, the Malcolm Wilson Rally, where the stages were quite slippery. It was hard to control the car under those conditions but it was a good test for us. In Argentina, first we want to finish the event and get more experience. This a really unique event with fast stages, it is hard to be fast here but we will do our best and get to know the car better."

Team boss, Ercan Kazaz meanwhile believes that the event will be good preparation for Sardinia, their next event in the JWRC championship, in three weeks time.

"The Ford Fiesta Super 1600 will make its gravel debut in Argentina in the hands of Atolye Kazaz. We have had a very intense gravel test with the help of M-Sport [and BP Ford test driver, Roman Kresta] to solve the birth problems of the Fiesta Super 1600. Now it is the place to prove the result of all that hard work," he added.

"Argentina Rally is a very unique event - rough in places and very fast. It will be a good test before Rally d'Italia Sardegna."
