New co-driver for Sohlberg.

Team Red Devil Atolye Kazaz driver, Kristian Sohlberg will have a new co-driver on the Rally d'Italia Sardegna this weekend, when he returns to the WRC after a three month break.

Sohlberg last competed on the Swedish Rally in February with Kaj Lindstrom, however Lindstrom won't be alongside the Finn this weekend as he is still recovering from an operation on his hip. As such Tomi Tuominen has been drafted in to read the pace-notes, and while it is a change, the two are not unfamiliar with each other having work together on last year's Peurunka Rally in Finland.

Sohlberg meanwhile, who will use a new car in Sardinia, the S11 spec Impreza, tested it for the first time in Italy recently, joined by SWRT test driver, Pasi Hagstrom. The team made a number of changes and tried various different set-ups and the former Mitsubishi driver was more than happy with his first run in the car.

"I feel really excited about getting back racing after a small break. It's been quite hard to follow the WRC events that we have not participated, but in the mean time I continued training really hard to be in absolute top form," he noted.

"I feel really confident that the car will help us to get our best result so far. We made some changes differential and suspension wise. I think we now have good set up and having Pasi Hagstrom joining us helped me a lot. S10 was a great car to drive and S11 gave me the same impression and I think it is for me even better to drive. I would like to send Kaj my best wishes for his recovery, health is more important than anything. I hope he will re-join us soon."

Team director, Ercan Kazaz is also happy for the team to be back in the fold: "It is good to be back to WRC scene with Kristian in the newest machinery from Subaru. As Atolye Kazaz, even though we are a young team in the WRC we are doing everything possible to satisfy our costumers needs on the highest level. We are looking forward to a very tough rally."

Sohlberg's programme post-Sardinia will include three further WRC events, namely those in Finland, Turkey and New Zealand.
