Aigner: Wicha and I will form a good team.

Red Bull Skoda's Andreas Aigner has said that he is looking forward to working with his new co-driver, Klaus Wicha on the Acropolis Rally next week, after parting ways with Timo Gottschalk.

Although Aigner and Wicha have worked together before, most recently at the season opening Rallye Monte Carlo, when Gottschalk was ill, Wicha has now been drafted in permanently after Aigner fell-out with Timo. Despite the upheaval though, the Austrian is keen now to do as well as possible in Greece and put the experience on gravel he gained in Sardinia last weekend to good use.

"I guess the Greek stages should suit us more because they are hard and have less loose sand on the edge than those in Sardinia," he predicted. "Besides I am hoping for a good shakedown to get to grips with the set-up better than before.

"I'm already looking forward to working with my new co-driver Klaus Wicha, he's a genuine professional, I'm sure we'll form a good team."

Red Bull boss, Armin Schwarz meanwhile added that the main aim for Aigner in Greece is to continue to accumulate mileage on what will be only his tenth outing in the FIA World Rally Championship.

"For Andreas the same tactics apply as in Sardinia," confirmed Schwarz, "if he feels alright in a stage he can really step on the gas. We wish Klaus Wicha all the best [as Andreas' new co-driver]."
