The organisers of the Telstra Rally Australia have released a revised entry list for their event, the fourteenth round in the 2006 FIA World Rally Championship, which runs from October 27-29.

The most significant change concerns Production Car World Rally Championship competitor, Nigel Heath, who will now not take part due to personal reasons. As such only 13 drivers will now be eligible to score points' in the Production Car WRC.

Two other drivers have also pulled out of the event, namely Graeme Miles and Xiang Wang, the former had been entered in a Subaru Impreza WRX, while the latter was down to compete in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9. No reason was given for either withdrawal.

Sebastien Loeb meanwhile remains listed as the number one driver for Kronos-Citroen. However, it is extremely unlikely he will start following his mountain bike accident days after the Cyprus Rally. After Colin McRae was drafted in for Turkey, the Scot is probably the favourite to get the nod again for Oz, even if his performance on the 13th round of the championship wasn't anything spectacular.

The revised entry list, which now includes a total of 58 crews - a similar amount roughly speaking as to that which competed in Sweden [67], Cyprus [50] and Monte Carlo [51], is as follows:
