The organisers of the Rallye Automobile Monte Carlo have confirmed that the 2008 edition of the event will incorporate a stage in the Col de Turini in preference to the Monaco super special.

While the schedule for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday remains pretty much unchanged, with the action based again in Valence and kicking off with two night stages, on Sunday two 'proper' stages will take place, including one over the Col de Turini.

In total the 2008 edition will include 361 competitive kilometres, around 30 kilometres more than this year's itinerary, which only included 332 competitive kilometres.

The 2008 Rallye Automobile Monte Carlo will run from January 25 to January 27.
