Jost Capito will attend his final FIA World Rally Championship event as Ford Team RS Director next weekend in Wales.

Capito, who will take up a new role as Vehicle Line Director for Ford Performance Vehicles within the company's Product Development organisation next season, will make a farewell speech in Swansea on Wednesday, November 28, prior to the ceremonial start of the Wales Rally GB the following day.

"I'm proud to have been heading Ford's rally programme during the most successful period in our history," said Capito.

"We've won back-to-back manufacturers' titles in the last two seasons and the Focus RS has won 15 WRC events in that period.

"I now feel comfortable to take on a new role within Ford from the beginning of 2008," he added.

Mark Deans meanwhile has been appointed to the newly-created position of motorsport director for Ford of Europe and will be focal point through which the 'Blue Oval' will continue to support M-Sport, the company which runs the BP Ford World Rally Team.

The changes were announced by Ford of Europe last week on Wednesday, November 14.
