Three points results on trot for Villagra.

Munchi's Ford World Rally Team man Federico Villagra took his third points' finish in succession on the Jordan Rally on Sunday, when he brought his Focus RS WRC07 home in sixth place.

Villagra's performance was flawless throughout and in the end he was justly rewarded, equalling his best ever WRC result, which he achieved at the end of last month in Argentina.

The only trouble for the Argentine Rally champion was a small brake issue on Saturday which was rectified in the mid-day service and in total he set eleven top-ten times.

The result increases the Munchi's Ford WRT's tally in the manufacturers' championship, increasing its gap over Suzuki to 8 points.

"I enjoyed this rally a lot and for myself and Jorge [Perez Companc - my co-driver] to score points on the last three events is a fantastic achievement," said Villagra.

"We found the first day very difficult because it was a new rally and the stages were tricky and it would be easy to make a mistake.

"Then on Saturday we made some changes to the differential and things felt much better, I had an improved feeling with the car and my times got faster from there.

"The high temperatures made it more difficult and we really had to concentrate hard on the very long last stage of the rally today. But now I'm feeling good and have got more confidence to go to Sardinia which is also the first event I drove for Munchi's last year."

Barry Clark meanwhile, who was in the #10 Munchi's WRT car, finished twelfth and ninth of the manufacturer entries, having been drafted in at late notice to replace Luis-Perez Companc [see separate story].
