Carlos Sainz moved to the lead of the Dakar Rally on Sunday's second stage, completing the test with the fastest time and jumping into the lead of the event.

He leads VW team-mate Giniel de Villiers in the standings, while day one leader Nasser Al Attiyah slipped down to fourth place behind Stephane Peterhansel.

In the two-wheeled class, Marc Coma suffered a radiator problem but despite seeing his lead cut, still has an advantage of over 13 minutes.
