The Richard Burns Foundation has made a final call for volunteers to assist with fundraising at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009.

Those volunteering to help the RBF can get involved in a wide range of activities, and can help out for just a couple of hours a day or throughout the whole Festival weekend.

In return volunteers will receive free passes to the prestigious event and also the chance to win an exclusive passenger ride on the famous Goodwood Rally stage.

Last year the charity founded in the name of England's only World Rally champion raised over ?50,000 at the Festival of Speed for youngsters suffering from life threatening illnesses, and is hoping to beat that figure at this year's event over July 3-5.

This year RBF will be working closely with the official charity of reigning F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton in order to raise money to improve the lives and opportunities of children and young people who are living in ill health or poverty in the UK, Europe or developing countries.

Following the Festival of Speed, LHF will make a donation to Keech Cottage Children's Hospice, which is close to where Lewis grew up, and Chestnut Tree House which is located close to Goodwood. Keech Cottage Children's Hospice provides specialist palliative care for children diagnosed with a life-limiting condition and their families across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes, whilst Chestnut Tree House cares for children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses from all over Sussex.
