Further knee surgery for Fogarty.

Carl Fogarty is back on the road to recovery after the latest of a number of operations on his troublesome knee.

The FPR boss had suffered from repeated pain in his right knee and, after advice from his surgeon, opted to undergo another episode of keyhole surgery yesterday (Tuesday).

"(The surgeon) found something wrong when he went inside the knee so hopefully it will now start to get better," said Carl. "He trimmed the cartilage last time he went in but found that it had split again. So he cut all the bad stuff out and smoothed it out again.

"Hopefully this should mean it is no longer prone to tearing. I am supposed to be on crutches today but I have been hobbling around without too much pain. I was only under the anaesthetic for a couple of hours and was back home again in the afternoon - it's incredible really," added the multiple WSBK champ.
