World Superbike organisers have shaken-up the Portimao round schedule with Sunday’s race two moved by over three hours.

With the Portuguese round ending the long summer break, with World Superbikes last in racing action in early July at Misano, the Portimao round schedule has been tweaked with key changes made to Sunday’s line-up.

CrashTV:

Since the switch of World Superbike's race one to Saturday, both races have normally been held 24 hours apart and start at the same time on each day to help with set-up and TV scheduling.

Portimao’s opening World Superbike race on Saturday retains its usual place at 13:00 (local time) before being followed by World Supersport qualifying but Sunday’s race two will start at 15:15 as the final race of the day.

It sees the European Superstock 1000 race promoted up the schedule on Sunday to 11:45, followed by World Supersport 300 at 12:45 and World Supersport at 13:45 before World Superbike’s race two.

With the Bennetts British Superbike championship also hosting a round at Oulton Park this weekend, it sees no clash in the TV schedule with World Superbike’s race two slotting in between the two BSB races on Sunday which start at 13:30 and 16:30 (both local time).
