On a day where Kawasaki recorded their 500th podium in WorldSBK, Alex Lowes also secured his first podium of the year after a brilliant battle with Scott Redding.

Scott Redding came within four laps of a debut BMW World Superbike podium in front of his home fans at Donington Park on Saturday.

While Jonathan Rea admitted he didn’t have the pace to beat WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu in race one at Donington, his attempts of converting pole into victory took an immediate hit following an opening few laps he described as ‘a mess’.
