2026 Hungarian WorldSBK, FP3 Results: Nicolo Bulega takes over at the top

Results from the FP3 session at the 2026 Hungarian WorldSBK from Balaton Park, the final session ahead of Superpole.

Nicolo Bulega was fastest at the end of FP3 in a session which saw him complete only one run. A 1m38.339s lap saw him reverse the order of Friday, beating Iker Lecuona by just over 0.1 seconds.

Lecuona maintained the factory Ducati team's stronghold on the top-two positions at the moment, himself just over 0.1 seconds clear of Lorenzo Baldassarri. Yari Montella and Sam Lowes locked out the top-five for Ducati in the final free practice of the weekend.

Miguel Oliveira was the fastest non-Ducati rider in sixth and also the last rider to lap in the 1m38s. Axel Bassani, Andrea Locatelli, Alberto Surra, and Tarran Mackenzie rounded out the top-10.

Only two riders didn't improve on their lap times from Friday during FP3: Alex Lowes and Tommy Bridewell. 

Lowes crashed at the last the three chicanes midway through the session. He was able to get back out on track but his best lap time was deleted for track limits. Bridewell, on the other hand, did well to save a crash at turn one when he lost the front. Iker Lecuona had a similar, but larger, slide at turn nine that he also saved.
