Having made a surprise comeback to MCE British Superbike Championship action last month, Karl Harris showed flashes of his very best form at Cadwell Park as he proved a consistent front runner on the Quattro Plant Kawasaki.

The 'Bomber', who has not contested a full season with the same team since 2008, showed well on his debut with the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team at Brands Hatch, but his form would elevate further at Cadwell Park as he proved a top five contender all weekend.

Qualifying in fifth position, Harris held down sixth position for the majority of the first race before a late pass by Josh Brookes consigned him to seventh, a BSB result that remains his best since Brands Hatch 2009 when he competed for Hydrex Honda.

Going on to finish ninth in race two, though Harris was disappointed not finish a little higher, he would still emerge as the best-placed Kawasaki rider.

"This weekend has been mega, I was disappointed in race two, as I struggled with rear tyre grip from the off. After my finish in race one, I was determined to get a top five finish in race 2. I was pushing the bike as hard as I dared, but had several near high-sides, one in particular at Barn, which saw me lose out a place to Pete Hickman."

"The bike is performing well. We just need to change the bottom power range of the engine, so I have a little more punch coming out of the corners. Donington is a great circuit and I can't wait to get there."
