O'Halloran return heads finale grid changes

Jason O'Halloran will return to MCE British Superbike Championship competition this weekend after being drafted in as a last minute replacement for Ian Lowry at Padgetts Honda.

The Australian, who is guaranteed to finish runner-up to Keith Famier in this year's National Superstock 1000 standings, last competed at BSB level in 2009, but will now get the chance to impress again aboard the Padgetts Fireblade after Lowry reportedly parted ways with the team on the eve of the 2012 finale.

No reason has been given for Lowry's departure, though the Ulsterman's form has notably dipped during the second-half of a season that otherwise yielded his first BSB win at Thruxton.

O'Halloran's return isn't the only change on the BSB grid for the last event of the year, with Nicholas Waters making his BSB debut on the Quattro Plant Kawasaki in place of Tom Grant, while Alex Polita is back in action aboard the Lloyds British Ducati 1199 Panigale and Mark Aitchison makes his comeback from injury on the Splitlath Redmond Aprilia.
