GBmoto becomes JG Speedfit Kawasaki

The GBmoto Kawasaki team will compete in the 2015 MCE British Superbike Championship under a new identity after securing a new title sponsor in JG Speedfit.

A leading specialist push-fit fittings, JG Speedfit has had a long association with motorsports over the years in various series and was present as a title sponsor to Joe Burns' Superstock 1000 effort in 2014.

However, in 2015 JG Speedfit will step up to Superbikes as the leading sponsor for GBmoto Kawasaki, the team being rebranded JG Speedfit Kawasaki.

After two years with Honda machinery, GBmoto enjoyed huge success in 2014 after a switch to Kawasaki machinery, picking up 13 podiums between James Ellison and Chris Walker, with the latter reaching the Title Showdown.

With Walker joining Be Wiser Kawasaki in 2015, Ellison has been re-signed, with his team-mate announced shortly.

"We're really excited to be associated with such a professional and ambitious team as GBmoto and are thoroughly looking forward to joining them on their 2015 title campaign," said JG Speedfit's Mike Riseley. "We've had a historic association with motorsport, mainly on four wheels, but stepped into the BSB paddock for the first time a couple of years ago sponsoring a team in the Superstock Championship.

"We spent this time evaluating if motorcycle-racing sponsorship had a good affinity with our brand and determined it clearly does,in terms of elevating brand awareness and identity, so it was a natural step up to the British Superbike class for 2015."

GBmoto's previous title sponsor, Lloyds British, will back the Moto Rapido Ducati team in 2015.
