Mallory qualifying cancelled.

The sheer volume of standing water in the run-off areas of the circuit meant that any competitive riding was ruled out by the organisers - the Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board (MCRCB). Instead, the MCRCB has decided to make further track inspections as the day progresses and practice sessions will be declared if possible.

Instead, the MCRCB has decided to make further track inspections as the day progresses and practice sessions will be declared if possible.

A number of the top Superbike teams made the decision not to take to the track today and packed their bikes away before noon. A further track inspection will take place on race day and the teams will use the morning warm-up as its sole practice session and take part in the two races as scheduled.

The starting grid for the races will be determined by current Championship standings, putting Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari on pole position.

Simon Buckmater, Rizla Suzuki's team manager said: "With no qualification, it means that any practice sessions are non-compulsory at Mallory Park today. We has already tested here in wet and dry conditions and that allowed us to make the early decision to opt out of any practice sessions."
