Former champions HM Plant Honda have ended speculation of a switch to World Superbikes next season after confirming they will remain in the British Championship for 2009.

The Louth-based team have been central to many rumours regarding next season's World Superbike grid, but speculation that they might run a team in 2009 has been ended with news that they will stay where they are.

An official announcement is due tomorrow
