British Touring Car Championship rookie Josh Price has been announced as Subaru's fourth and final driver for the 2017 season.

The 18-year old replaces Warren Scott in the fourth Subaru Levorg after the latter opted to vacate his BTCC seat to concentrate on his role as team principal at Team BMR.

Price graduates into the BTCC having finished sixth in last year's Renault Clio Cup Championship and will race under the BMR Racing Academy banner for the 2017 season.

"I'm extremely overwhelmed by the support of my sponsors, BMR and Subaru to get me onto the BTCC grid this season at such short notice," said Price.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge that's ahead, as well as working with a team with such a great pedigree."

Talking of the 18-year olds move to the Subaru squad, team boss Scott says he's eager to see how Price adapts to the BTCC during the year.

"We are thrilled to welcome Josh into the BMR Racing Academy BTCC Team and look forward to watching his progress throughout what promises to be an unforgettable year," said Scott.
