Shedden excluded from race three, Turkington inherits win

Defending British Touring Car champion Gordon Shedden has lost his reverse grid win at Donington Park after being excluded from the race three result for failing the ride-height check.

The Team Dynamics driver won the race on the road by over four-seconds ahead of Team BMW's Colin Turkington but his Honda Civic Type-R subsequently failed the post race ride-height check.

The amended result of the final race means Turkington steps to the top of rostrum, taking his first win in Team BMW colours, while Adam Morgan and Ashley Sutton move up to second and third.

Shedden's exclusion also has significant championship ramifications, which has left Speedworks Motorsport's Tom Ingram in the lead of the points chase as the series heads for Thruxton in three-weeks time.
