Record ticket sales for Hockenheim finale.

The DTM has announced record figures for advance ticket sales for the final round of the 2004 series, with more than two weeks still to go before the meeting at Hockenheim.

60,000 tickets have already been sold, an increase of 30% on last season with organisers expecting a crowd in excess of 100,000 for the series finale.

The record advance sales fit the picture of the entire season. Prior to the round this weekend at Brno, and the final at Hockenheim, a total of 605,000 spectators attended the previous eight rounds.

On average 75.625 spectators watched the DTM races on site - an increase by 30 per cent compared to last year.

Spectator-highlights were the Hockenheim season opener with 118,000, the Norisring event with 132,000 and the N?rburgring with an attendance of 103,000 over the respective weekends.
