Formula 1 testing has begun with three days of running at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
The Spanish venue is a popular testing choice due to its varied corner type, with the circuit consisting of high-speed, medium-speed and low-speed corners.
F1 didn't test in Barcelona last year due to a shortened pre-season period, with testing only taking place in Bahrain.
Barcelona will host the first F1 2022 test (February 23-25), while the second test - which will be televised - will take place in Bahrain (March 10-12).
Teams use these tests to analyse and understand what works on their new machines but also what needs improving.
For this season, it's all change with entirely new technical regulations and the introduction of 18-inch tyres.
With new rules, there are differences up and down the field in how the cars look and the concepts various teams have gone for.

Mercedes
Mercedes has reverted back to its traditional silvery livery this year with seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton alongside George Russell.

Alfa Romeo has opted to run an interim livery during pre-season testing before officially launching its new car on February 27. Robert Kubica will be in action during the test (pictured below) alongside new signings Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou.
