F1 2010 POLL: Who was to blame for Hamilton/Webber crash?
Of the five F1 2010 title contenders, four of them filled the top four positions at the chequered flag in last weekend's Singapore Grand Prix, and one failed to take the chequered flag at all following a controversial coming-together - so just who was to blame for Lewis Hamilton and Mark Webber's clash?
Having leapfrogged his McLaren-Mercedes world championship rival when the Briton made his pit-stop on lap 28 of the 61-lap encounter, the subsequent safety car period closed the field right up again shortly afterwards, and Webber was under pressure from his pursuer in their duel over the final podium spot when matters came to a head on lap 36.
As the Australian found himself momentarily baulked by Virgin backmarker Lucas Di Grassi, Hamilton was able to pull alongside the Red Bull Racing on the exit of Turn Six - but that left the 2008 F1 World Champion on the outside line for the following Turn Seven left-hander.
In a classic case of immovable object meets irresistible force, as Webber refused to yield and Hamilton tried to squeeze across to take the corner, contact was made between the pair - and the latter was out on the spot, making it two accident-induced DNFs in as many races, and dealing a second consecutive blow to his hopes of lifting the laurels.
FIA stewards subsequently concluded that the contretemps had been little more than a racing incident - and the two protagonists seemed to concur, but what do you think?
