Although the German driver, and those in his immediate vicinity, made it back to the pit-lane without much danger, Tyrrell driver Tora Takagi was confronted with a human wall as he wound his way around the back of the circuit. (The scariest incident today actually happened after I had finished the race,) said the Japanese driver, (I was on my cool down lap and arrived at the back of the circuit to find people all over the track. Happily I didn't hit anybody.)


Invasions like this, which traditionally happen at Monza and have marred the British GP in the past, are actually in contradiction to FIA regulations, and the Hungaroring organisers could find themselves hauled before the governing body to explain reasons for the situation.
