The new Jordan EJ10 may have to undergo revisions after the FIA hinted it may be contravening the rules.


Rival teams have complained that the team's solution to cockpit design may not conform to the current regulations, despite Jordan insisting that everything is above board. The Silverstone outfit is being questioned over its use of fins to comply with the mandatory shape of the cockpit sides, as the general consensus is that the rules were specifically designed to prevent this.

Ferrari is known not to be among the complainants, as it, too, has used a similar design for the cockpit on the new F1-2000, but those objecting have now referred the matter to the FIA technical working group for a ruling prior to the season starting in Melbourne next month.
