Prost Looks For Engine Deal.

Alain Prost has admitted that he is likely to have replace Peugeot next season.


The Frenchman acknowledges that his current supplier will probably quit the category next year, when its contract with the team expires, but has yet to formalise negotiations with a replacement. He has been linked to a supply of customer Mercedes units after taking former McLaren protege Nick Heidfeld on board this year, but is unlikely to receive these.

"I have to look for an engine," he said, "as there is no information coming from Peugeot. Relations with them have improved, but nothing is easy. The fact that Peugeot has still not decided on its politics after 2000 poses problems for us."
