Heinz isn't hard enough for F1, says Williams.

Sir Frank Williams has labeled Heinz-Harald Frentzen "a softy" adding he isn't hard enough to beat the best in Formula One.

Williams told BBC Sport Online: "I don't know of any other driver who has such a fantastic feeling for the car he drives as Frentzen does.

"But Heinz-Harald is a very sensitive character and not hard enough for this business."

Williams employed Frentzen during 1997 and 1998, sacking 1996 world champion Damon Hill, so that the German could link up with Jacques Villeneuve at the Oxfordshire based team.

Williams though got rid of the German following the 1998 season and replaced him, and the departing Villeneuve, with Ralf Schumacher and Alex Zanardi.

Frentzen, who made his F1 debut in 1994 with Sauber, will return to the team in 2003, replacing Brazilian rookie, Felipe Massa.

He has won three grand's prix during his time in F1, one with Williams and two with Jordan in 1999. Thus far he has scored 161 points in 141 F1 starts.
