Renault announces new partnership with Guru.

Renault's F1 team continued its recent spate of partnership announcements by revealing that it has signed a sponsorship deal with Italian clothing brand Guru for the 2004 season and beyond.

The multi-year agreement teams the Anglo-French squad with one of the leading Italian brands in youth casualwear. Started by fashion graduate Matteo Cambi in 1999, the company has grown from producing a now famous T-shirt with a printed daisy on it to being one of the success stories in the clothing sector, having achieved sales of 4million garments a year in just a few years.

"We are delighted to begin this relationship with Guru," commented Renault F1 MD Flavio Briatore, "They are a young, fashionable brand, and the company has accomplished a remarkable amount in a short space of time. Renault returned to Formula One two years ago and, in spite of our success last year, we are still building for the future. It makes sense for these two young, successful companies to team up."
