Arden has competed in the series since the inception of its former GP2 guise in 2005, managing a best result of second place in the teams’ standings in the same year.

It was supported by BWT and subsequently ran pink liveries during 2018, finishing ninth out of the 10 teams with race-winner Maximilian Gunther and Honda protege Nirei Fukuzumi.

The Arden-HWA collaboration will field an entirely new driver line-up for 2019 following Gunther and Fukuzumi’s respective departures to FE and Super Formula. It ran Ralph Boschung, Thomas Laurent and Ryan Tveter during post-season testing in Abu Dhabi.

"We are delighted to announce our new engineering and technical partnership with HWA RACELAB,” Arden team principal Garry Horner added.

“HWA bring a wealth of engineering expertise and knowledge to the programme and we look forward to working with them in the FIA F2 Championship."
