Ippoliti confirmed in second Draco entry.

Draco Junior Team has completed its driver line-up for the 2004 Superfund Euro F3000 Championship, having confirmed reigning Italian F3 champion Fausto Ippoliti as team-mate to Nicky Pastorelli.

Ippoliti joined Pastorelli among those to run with Draco during the team's test at Magione in November, and impressed the watching Adriano Morini with his pace and performance. The Italian's experience also counted for a lot, as he added last year's F3 crown to strong showings in the national Formula Renault 2000 series.

"As I have explained many times, I'm not inclined to choose Italian drivers because I think there is not always complete dedication to my way of thinking and living in the motorsport world," Morini explained, "However, we analysed different opportunities and drivers, and came to this decision gradually, taking many things into consideration. I spoke many times with Nadia [Morini] on the best decision to take for the technical side and, before we signed the contract, Nadia, Fausto and I spoke at length. We were very frank with Fausto, and he reacted very well. I'm sure he won't disappoint me."

Financial director Nadia Morini said that she was satisfied with the line-up.

"I have to say that this operation was not usual," she admitted, "We have considered all the aspects, and we analysed three strong drivers. Fausto was the best choice."
