Stefano Domenicali, the CEO of F1, has called Andretti “not smart” for their lobbying to enter the sport - and said other prospective teams “are less vocal”.
The majority of F1 teams are seemingly against Andretti’s proposed entry for 2026. Why is this? And what would it take for the American team to enter the sport financially?
Andretti want to field at least one American driver should their bid to join the F1 grid be successful, and there is an obvious candidate to fill one of their seats.
