Racing drivers have to be quite brave to do what they do on the track, but leading sportscar star Darren Turner realised recently that sometimes you have to be brave off the track too - especially when you agree to do something for charity...

Today (11 June) sees the publication of the annual 'Naked Centrefold Special' in Cosmopolitan Magazine - and guess who got his kit off for charity? The photoshoot took place in front of the huge windows of the BRDC Clubhouse at Silverstone, looking out over the pit-lane entrance during a busy test day. Luckily none of the drivers coming into the pits happened to look up as they passed by!

Turner agreed to be a 'Naked Centrefold' in support of the Everyman campaign, which is run by The Institute of Cancer Research to raise awareness of, and fund research into, male cancer at the Everyman Centre - Europe's first and only centre dedicated to male cancer research.

Money is raised through dedicated phone and text lines encouraging readers to vote for their favourite Centrefold. From Friday you will be able to vote at www.cosmopolitan.co.uk, so you can help a worthy charity and show your support for Darren all in one go!

"I was hoodwinked into doing this by Lindsay [Morle - PR agent]," revealed Turner. "I didn't know I had to be totally naked until I got there. All I can say is that I'm glad the heating was on in the clubhouse that day!"

Turner will be keeping his kit firmly on this week as he is now in France, preparing for this weekend's Le Mans 24 Hours with Aston Martin Racing.
