The new Interwetten Honda MotoGP team has confirmed that it will also run a Moto2 programme, for Thomas Luthi, in 2010.

The Moto2 project continues a long relationship between Luthi and team boss Daniel Epp, which looked in doubt after 250cc world champion Hiroshi Aoyama was chosen over Luthi for the MotoGP ride.

Interwetten joins Gresini and Tech 3 in fielding both a MotoGP and Moto2 team for 2010. Like Gresini, Interwetten will also use Moriwaki machinery.

"It is a beautiful motorcycle; the whole finish of the bike is impressive," said Terrell Thien, team manager of 'Interwetten Moriwaki Moto2'.

Luthi - a former 125cc world champion and 250GP podium finisher - will test the bike for the first time at the beginning of February in Spain, before the official tests start in March.

"I can?t wait to test the machine for the first time. When it arrived to the workshop in Germany my mechanics called me and started the bike, so I can hear the sound. That was like music in my ears! As soon as we have all the parts together I will travel to Solingen and will try it out," said Luthi.
