The Thai Honda PTT SAG team of Ratthapark Wilairot and Hector Faubel has swapped from a planned Suter chassis to become the only (full-time) team running a Bimota design in this year's inaugural Moto2 World Championship.

"We had a preliminary agreement with Suter but there were some terms in the final contract with which we did not agree and in the end we have decided to go with Bimota," the official MotoGP website quotes team director Eduardo Perales as saying.

"We are pleased because it represents a more direct, more human contact, and if there are problems it will be much easier to resolve them.

"There will only be [our] two riders using the Bimota frame in the world championship. If you are one of twelve then unfortunately it is always a little more difficult when you raise your hand."

Joining Bimota and Suter in having at least one chassis on the full-time 2010 Moto2 grid will be Moriwaki, FTR, Tech 3, Promoharris, RSV, Pons Kalex, ICP, ADV, TSR, BQR, Scot and MZ.

The next official Moto2 test will be held at Jerez from March 27-29.
