Proton KR to test KTM in September?

The British-based Proton KR team hope to have their first test with the newly acquired KTM engine at Estoril, Portugal, following September's Portuguese Grand Prix.

The Austrian factory built the MotoGP engine as part of a planned MotoGP assault, but then ceased development to concentrate on their successful off-road business and 125cc GP team.

Proton KR is obviously hoping the V4 engine is competitive after major problems in extracting useable horsepower from their own V5 power unit.
