2005 MotoGP entry list, Byrne at Team KR.

The FIM has today revealed the full entry list for the 2005 MotoGP World Championship.

The list features few modifications over the provisional line-up announced in mid-December, with the notable exceptions of Max Biaggi at Repsol Honda and former Aprilia rider Shane Byrne being named at a one rider Team Roberts entry. The Briton's machine is listed as a 'Proton KR' but is expected to run a KTM engine.

The list also confirms that Roberto Rolfo will be the sole d'Antin Ducati rider this year and - with Aprilia having pulled out and no entries still described as 'to be announced' - it looks like the premier-class will be reduced from 24 to 21 full time riders for the 17-round 2005 championship.

Of the more minor changes, Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards will be riding for the Gauloises Yamaha Team (not the Yamaha Gauloises Team as previously named) while the Tech 3 name has been dropped from the satellite Fortuna backed team of Toni Elias and Ruben Xaus.

Telefonica has also been dropped from the official title of Team Gresini, which will field Sete Gibernau and Marco Melandri. The outfit will now be known as 'Team Movistar Honda MotoGP'.
