Sepang MotoGP test times - Wednesday.

Unofficial lap times from the first day of the first 2010 MotoGP test session, held at Sepang in Malaysia.

Under new rules, the first day of testing was for test riders only and, with no official timing in place, the lap times given below are as supplied by team members.

Some factories used their test riders to simply check that the new 2010 race bikes were in full working order for Thursday, while others - notably Yamaha, which had two test riders present - used the day to evaluate 'new parts'.

The weather was typically hot and humid, but remained dry.

Although unable to ride, many MotoGP riders were present in casual clothes at Sepang on Wednesday, including reigning world champion Valentino Rossi and Fiat Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo.

Title runner-up Lorenzo spent time with his new team manager Wilco Zeelenberg, during what was their second face-to-face meeting since the Dutchman was announced as taking over the role vacated by Daniele Romagnoli. The pair had previously met in Barcelona.

The full line-up of 2010 MotoGP riders will take to the track on Thursday, when Fiat Yamaha will also officially launch its 2010 MotoGP campaign through the unveiling of its new livery and a series of press conferences.
