The final day of 2019 MotoGP action is underway at Jerez, ahead of the winter test ban.

Yamaha's Vinales held a commanding 0.754s advantage over the field on day one, with satellite star Quartararo best of the rest on his debut with the latest M1 engine.

Marc's team-mate and younger brother Alex is based in the Repsol Honda pits for the first time and was top rookie on Monday, with Lecuona escaping injury in a fast accident.

Having split from Karel Abraham over the weekend, Avintia is yet to confirm the arrival of Johann Zarco and is instead giving MotoE rider Eric Granado his MotoGP debut on a GP18.

Miguel Oliveira and Takaaki Nakagami are absent, as they continue to recover from shoulder surgery, but Danilo Petrucci is back in action after shoulder tendonitis at Valencia.

Testing began at 10am, with Marc Marquez beating his Monday time on his very first run. However the forecast rain arrived shortly after midday and some riders have finished testing for the year...
