Action-packed season ahead!

The first meeting will be on Sunday 7th March.

The Auto66 have a full season of Road Racing, Sprints and Hill Climbs planned. The first meeting will be on Sunday 7th March at Elvington Park near York. Practice starts at 10.15 with racing at approx 11.00; with over 20 races planned the day should produce some good racing and be well worth a ride out to watch.

The Elvington meeting will be the first round of the Clubman's Challenge Star Road Race Championships which cater for all class of machines both solo and sidecars. The meeting will also be the first round of the Earl of Elvington Series with last years winner Steve Degnan looking to repeat his success.

Two weeks later the club goes over the Humber Bridge to the Lincolnshire circuit of Cadwell Park. On Saturday 20th March the club will be running the first rounds of the Yorkshire car Speed Hill Climb and Sprint Championship and the first round of the Northern Bike Championship. The full national course will be used for this event with riders and drivers setting off at intervals against the clock. Practice commences at 09.00 with the first timed runs at approx 11.00.

The following day, Sunday 21st March, the club are organizing a motorcycle Road Race meeting which will be the first round of the Cadwell Masters Series, the Road and Track Championship and the Super Junior Formula 125 Cup, this is a new series for riders under 21 years old, the Championship will be run alongside the normal formula 125 championship which is open to all age groups. Also included will be the first round of the FSRA Sidecar Formula 350 and Classic Championships. Filling the programme will be the second round of the Clubman's Challenge Star Championships.

With over 21 races on the programme the stage is set for an excellent weekends sport at Cadwell Park.

With entries still not closed for the Cadwell meeting the star names already received include Richard Gibson, Mick and Mark Goodings, Steve Degnan and in the Sidecars Greg Lambert, Conrad Harrison and Tony Thirkell.
