Friends and fans of James Winslow have helped start a fundraising page to cover his medical bills after a horrific crash in the Gulf 12 Hours last month.

Winslow was taking part in the Gulf 12 Hours at the Yas Marina Circuit when his brakes failed on his Graff Racing Ligier JS P3 at 240kph which forced him into the tyre barriers at around 170kph and sustained a number of serious injuries including two fractured vertebrae, broken sternum, internal bleeding and damaged spleen.

Currently, Winslow is undergoing recovery in hospital but will need a minimum of three months of treatment. The British driver’s current finances mean he is unable to cover the costs of the medical bills plus rehabilitation.

A GoFundMe donation page has been set up for Winslow by his supporters to raise funds to cover his medical costs. The donation page can be found here.
