Schwarz out with steering problems.

Armin Schwarz has retired from Rallye Catalunya on the first stage of the second leg after his Skoda experienced steering problems.

That stage, SS7, was again won by the Citroen of Jesus Puras by over 9secs from his teammate Phillipe Bugalski, giving the former an 18.0sec lead over Bugalski overall.

However, the investigation into Puras for alleged illegal reconnaissance has still not been concluded.
