Rautenbach: A repeat would be nice!

Conrad Rautenbach will hope to repeat his heroics of 2008 as the World Rally Championship heads to Argentina this weekend for the fifth round of the year.

The Citroen Junior Team driver survived a challenge event last season to bring his C4 WRC home in fourth place - his best result to date in the series.

The Zimbabwean returns to the South American country after seeing his outing in Portugal ended by a fire on the final day, and he will be keen to put that retirement behind him in an effort to secure more points for Citroen's M2 outfit.

"That was incredible result for only my second rally with the Citroen C4 WRC," he said, reflecting on twelve months ago. "The conditions were really terrible, due to heavy rain. Nonetheless we managed to overcome all the obstacles to finish fourth: my best result on the World Rally Championship.

"There really is a unique atmosphere on the Rally Argentina. Even in the rain, there were so many spectators there. They light barbecues and really enjoy themselves following the rally for the whole day. It's a great event, but I'm just hoping that it doesn't rain again this year!"
