Citroen number two driver Dani Sordo has retired from day two of the Acropolis Rally of Greece.

Sordo's Citroen C4 WRC car suffered a broken suspension arm in the final test this morning, the 24.15 kilometre run through Kefalari 1.

The test was stopped for 7 minutes as a result, so that the road could be cleared.

Sordo had been second overall, just 3 seconds behind leader Mikko Hirvonen, when he hit a rock early on in SS9.

It is not yet known if Dani will be able to re-start on Sunday under the SupeRally format.

Henning Solberg meanwhile was also forced out in Kefalari 1. Initial reports suggest he hit the same rock as Sordo.

More to follow as and when we get it...
