Citroen Total World Rally Team has officially revealed its 2019 C3 WRC car livery which Sebastien Ogier and Esapekka Lappi will debut at the season opener Rallye Monte-Carlo later this month.

With reigning WRC champion Ogier making the high-profile switch from M-Sport Ford to Citroen this winter, it also brings back Red Bull sponsorship branding to the French manufacturer for the first time since 2012.

Citroen celebrates its 100th anniversary as a brand in 2019, with the new livery reflecting its centenary, while this season marks the French manufacturer’s 51st year of partnership with oil specialists Total.

With an all-new driver line-up of Ogier, who last competed for Citroen in 2011, and Finnish star Lappi plus a fresh C3 WRC livery the French squad will be keen to improve upon a disappointing 2018 when it finished last in the WRC manufacturers’ standings with just one win (Sebastien Loeb’s victory at Rally Catalunya de Espana) and four additional rostrums.

Citroen’s last WRC titles came in 2012 when partnered with Loeb in his final full campaign when they clinched both the drivers’ and manufacturers’ world crowns.

The 2019 WRC season gets underway at Rallye Monte-Carlo on January 24-27.
