Bosses of the World Superbike Championship have announced a series of changes that will be brought into play for the 2010 season.

The changes have been made following consultation between Infront Motor Sports and the competing teams - as well as other interested parties.

The main change across the classes is the announcement of revisions to the Superpole format.

Under the minor changes, Superpole 1 will now run for 14 minutes followed by sessions of twelve minutes and ten minutes. The current seven minute break between sessions will remain in place although the time between final practice and Superpole has been extended to 25 minutes.

Elsewhere, an extra qualifying session will be added on Friday afternoon for Supersport runners while the race on Sunday has been moved forward by 5 minutes at the request of TV stations.

Superstock 1000 will feature a qualifying session on Friday afternoon at the request of the teams, while the Superstock 600 race has been moved to Saturday afternoon. Two qualifying sessions and one free practice session will take place each weekend.
