First shake-down for little Lisa.

Team Nvidia had their first shake-down test of the season yesterday, with the only woman in the British championship line-up Lisa Thorn at the controls of her new Yamaha TZ125 at a very cold Mallory Park.

It was Lisa's first ride on a race bike since last season, but she already felt happier on her new Ohlins suspension after using Honda machinery and WP suspension last season.

"It was good fun to finally ride the little Yam today although my fingers are falling off with the cold," she commented. "It seems to steer a lot easier than the Honda and get off the turns too - but it's quite a while since I last rode a bike so everything seems the be happening quickly.

"I am very happy to be back on Ohlins suspension it is definitely the best for me. I can not wait for the next test, maybe this Saturday at Cadwell - snow permitting!" concluded a shivering Thorne.

Team owner Brent Gladwin acknowledged that the weather was not ideal but blamed time restraints for the need too test in such conditions.

"Its far too cold for this carry on - but we don't have long to the first race meeting so we will be out as much as possible now," he commented. "Lisa and the TZ have both done well today (Wednesday) - it seems from this first outing that we have made a step in the right direction using the Yamaha and moving back to Ohlins."
