BSB releases 2018 race calendar

The 2018 MCE British Superbike championship provisional race calendar has been published by organisers MSVR after approval by its governing body the MCRCB.

Ahead of this season’s final round at Brands Hatch, the 2018 BSB calendar has been unveiled and is almost identical to the previous calendar with only one round switch. The Snetterton and Knockhill rounds have changed places, with the Norfolk circuit hosting the return to action for round four on the 15-17 June with Knockhill being shuffled back to round five on the 6-8 July.

As was the case for this year’s opener, Donington Park will host the first round on the 31 March – 2 April on the Easter weekend while the first trip to Oulton Park holds its traditional May bank holiday slot.

The Cadwell Park round is once again a week before the August bank holiday in order to avoid clashing with the British MotoGP round as Silverstone stays as the final round before the traditional BSB three-round Showdown.

In a similar pattern to 2017, the opening Showdown round at Oulton Park comes the weekend immediately after Silverstone before heading to Assen two weeks later and the final round at Brands Hatch GP on the 12-14 October.
