WIX Racing's Jack Goff has emerged from second practice as the driver to beat after leading a Honda 1-2-3 lockout ahead of qualifying for round 16 of the 2018 British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton.

Having suffered a disastrous weekend at Croft prior to the summer break, Goff looks set to bounce back from that brief dip in form after topping the FP2 timesheets by almost 0.3s ahead of Dan Cammish in second.

With the session taking place under much more stable conditions, the FP2 order returned more to its norm.

All three of the Eurotech prepared Honda Civic Type-Rs appeared to hit the ground running early on, with Goff eventually settling for a 1 minute 55.684s. Cammish was the only other driver to dip under the 1 minute 56 barrier in second, while FP1 pacesetter Matt Simpson completed the top three lockout, a further 0.1s back from Goff's ultimate pace.

As in FP1, Team HARD's Mike Bushell was once again shone towards the top of the timesheets in fourth after setting an identical time to that of Simpson in third.

Brett Smith, Chris Smiley and Matt Neal ensured half of the top-ten order would be comprised of Honda machinery in fifth, seventh and ninth, as Rob Austin, Senna Proctor and Andrew Jordan filled the remainder of the top-ten gaps in sixth, eighth and tenth.

Elsewhere, championship leader Colin Turkington ended his practice running with the eleventh fastest time for Team BMW, with Jason Plato and Ashley Sutton following up in 14th and 22nd for Subaru.
