News that Mark Webber is to leave F1 at the end of the season means one of the top seats in the sport is now officially available for the 2014 campaign.

Speculation over who will replace the Australian will now come to the fore, with it appearing - at the moment - to be a three-way fight for the chance to partner Sebastian Vettel next year.

Toro Rosso duo Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo are both in the running, although questions have been asked over whether or not either driver is currently ready to make the switch.

Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen is the other man believed to be firmly in the mix and could form a potent line-up with defending champion Vettel.

Others could well emerge from the shadows, such as Force India's Paul di Resta or current Red Bull test driver Sebastien Buemi, while Red Bull Junior team driver Ant?nio F?lix da Costa continues to make an impression in Formula Renault 3.5 - although a move straight into the senior Red Bull team could be a step too far.
